Because Democracy Matters….

I have had the privilege of putting together more than 70 “wonderful” posts. Each of them have been more than 500 words long and each of them have one aim: to develop a new Canadian “Liberal” philosophy. However, every now and again I find myself having a heart.

Today, I saw Democracy Prep Public Schools’ fourth-grade class sing their heart out to convince Americans to “vote for somebody.”  In a YouTube video, the network’s civic-minded Harlem Prep representatives convey the importance of voting and the importance of being a full participant in American democracy. Their plea was so important and emotional, I thought I would post it here. Please listen to them and, to any American readers, please vote.

Democracy Prep Public Schools‘ fourth-grade citizen scholars don’t care who you vote for, so long as you “vote for somebody.” In a YouTube video, the network’s civic-minded Harlem Prep representatives convey such sentiment via song to the tune of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.”
